I've had problems with wicd being flaky in connecting to my hidden WPA2
network. I sort of fixed it by writing a template that scanned for the
hidden ESSID and then used the passphrase that was entered in the
Properties dialogue.
This evening I decided to upgrade the passphrase from 30 to 63

Confirmed that rebooting after the yelp, et al, re-install does make the
"About Ubuntu" item in the System menu come back, but it still
mistakenly thinks I'm runny natty, while "lsb_release -a" still

I was plagued by this problem for a long time (probably since 9.04),
until I got fed up, opened my laptop and disconnected its touchpad
permanently (I prefer a mouse anyway). That fixed the problem for me,
but this is not something I'd recommend others to do, especially since
there's often a switch

userland) don't get anyting out of the
device. It is just compleet dead! I suspect that the driver don't know my
serial controler.

I just copied a bunch of video files from a camera memory stick,
selected them in nautilus, right-clicked and selected "Open with Movie

Satellite A660-12x to work on Ubuntu 10.10.
Quick instructions for all the affected people:

Even when using CONFIG_VMSPLIT_3G and 768M I was able to reproduce the
lack of memory exception. Now need to check why the usb driver is
requiring so much memory.

I noticed because of bug #691569 my system hadn't completed the upgrade,
at the time I filed this bug report.
