This affects me too, on an HP HDX16t laptop.
I tried the PPA version of upower given above with no result. Strangely,
looking at upower's dbus interface in d-feet shows that it knows my
energy_rate (discharge rate) and the amount of energy in my battery, but
doesn't calculate time_until_full or
i will do that, though first to avoid looking like an idiot, im going to
see if this ppa reseted my brightness to zero or if the settings were
already at zero and because of the brightness problem unaffected until
the ppa install.

loaded so modprobe should just return immediately but it never return.

Recently, gnome has been warning me about low disk space, always less
than 1.5GiGs.
I should have mentionned the tests were done using latest Mesa from git,
libdrm 2.4.23 (needed by both latest xserver-xorg-video-ati and Mesa)
and that I can boot under kernels 2.6.35.11, 2.6.36.3, 2.6.37 and

I suspect that what's actually happening here is that, when ForceGallium
is enabled, mesa isn't loading the dri module - because ForceGallium
causes mesa to look for r600g_dri.so rather than r600_dri.so.

work on my laptop. I tried several kernel versions and found that this
problem first appears in 2.6.32-25, and still exists in 2.6.32-29

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 10.10. I was previously running 9.04.
Evolution found the previous file and opened okay. I have all email,
contact, and task functionality working. When I click calendar button
on type Ctrl-3, the program crashes

Hi!
I have installed the 96 version to Nvidia drivers trough the
Administration - Hardware drivers - Propieritary drivers - enable
them.
The installation there went well. Did a reboot of my computer. Worked. Loged
into desktop. Worked. BUT with WRONG colors!

Also I had this problem with ubuntustudio 10.04 when I finally get the
Nvidia drivers to work.
They worked, but with only this kind of colors.
The same in Ubuntu 10.04 for me.
I would be happy to get rid of this colorblindness error :)
