work. So I set my grub to automatically boot to the -generic (without

I booted kubuntu 11.4 on USB live cd, wireless worked.

I started to notice this recently with this advent of Google's fancy new
images search. As one scrolls down the page and more images are pulled
in the Xorg CPU usage pegs to a core. After you get to the bottom

No. They have nothing to do with Update Manager.
...other than the fact that it is positively the updates trying to get in to my
system that is causing the crashes. And then I run Update Manager and 100% of
the time there is in fact an update ready and waiting for me to install.
