The original question has not been addressed: should either gnome-
screensaver itself, or the dbus org.gnome.ScreenSaver Exec= command,
check for a running xscreensaver and abort?
Thus, this bug should stay in gnome-screensaver. If you really want to
sweep it under the carpet, mark it as WONTFIX.

I have merged the packages. Unfortunately, python2.7-dbg crashes when
debian/rules clean runs the line:
python2.7-dbg ./setup.py clean --all
This prevents me from creating the source package. The command is still
run using the non-debug version of python2.7, so hopefully this isn't an
issue.

Hello all,
The fix released to address this bug's issue unfortunately leads to problem for
those who use the Lustre filesystem (see http://www.lustre.org):
- kernel hangs when attempting to mount a Lustre filesystem with the wrong
NID (which fortunately should not happen in normal operating

Title:
file name too long when creating new file
I believe the bug is that the Live CD has an invalid shlex.py file.
An empty file is a legal module in Python, thus the attribute error for
the function not found is legit.
