with my Dell Inspiron 1521 and it happens on Maverick with my HP desktop

Problem was solved for me with installation of kernel 2.6.35.28.
Note: kernel 2.6.35.28 was patched as explained on
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1594981page=9 (related to bug
636045) but don't think this is related anyhow.

Cannot control squid
^^^David thanks for the fix that works... but with headphones plugged in you
can still hear the woofer
is there a fix for that ?? .. (im on 10.04) ^^^
note: there is no independent adjustment for the woofer sound
preferences alsamixer maybe that's normal?

Pulse
Tried this again with the same image listed above on a known good
BeagleboardC4 with the exact same result.
As I said in the original bug, I am not able to get a command prompt on
the serial console during post install and after it throws out a bunch
of read only filesystem errors and won't allow

cups stopped working, then in trying to reinstall it, it wouldn't
reinstall. I started getting errors that showed the crash report.

Ok, installing libqt4-dbg now, I'll send the trace as soon as possible.
