WORKAROUNDS FOR CAIRO-DOCK WITH KDENLIVE:
Here are the results of further testing last night with version 2.2. It turned
out that to use the cairo backend it had to be explicitly called that way and
my earlier attempt to specify it in the configuration files did not stop it

I am also affected by this issue. Currently I have a fresh install of
Ubuntu 10.10, and I have installed snmpd. I then installed the snmp-

right (90 degrees). Total desktop area 2730x 1680.
Card is Radeon HD 4600.
If I enable fglrx, everything is fine.

Just to add some information, I've now tried to run the live CD of Natty
Alpha 3 on my problem computer. It reverted to standard Gnome in stead
of using Unity, and it was just as flaky as Maverick. Noteworthy, Natty
Alpha 3 Live ran smoothly, with Unity, on my Sony Vaio laptop with AMD
processor
Confirming that the problem still exists with all updates to 2011-03-06
installed. I'll test with Natty alpha 4 this evening.
Melvin, the acpi_osi= consistently works for me. Make sure you have
a blank space after the equal sign. I put it right after the splash
in the boot commands.
