I have the same problem with lucid. Downgrading to 2:3.4.7~dfsg-
1ubuntu3.4 solved the problem but this is no satisfying solution. I
think a bugfix for lucid LTS is strictly necessary!

I also have this problem happening, although it usually seems to be
repeating the bottom half of my unity launcher, after a certain random
application each time. This is especially bothersome when I cannot just
close or reopen the afflicted applications because it would affect their
operation.

Mh. Actually I don’t know which package is at fault here, but I tend
towards d-i.
linux-generic depends on linux-image-generic, linux-restricted-modules-
generic
linux-restricted-modules-generic is obviously not in main
linux-generic apparently is in restricted for hardy but in main for
@zzarko: the status of the bug in both unity and unity-2d is
'Confirmed', meaning it isn’t fixed yet. There has been design work to
solve it though, as suggested by the status of the bug for the Ayatana
Design project.

I think I may reproduce this X freezing issue. If I install fglrx driver
it happens frequently. Should I add anything apart from these log files?
So that they contain enough debugging information.
Ok. I'll open another bug report for slowness issue.
