I'm already on Natty. Gave radeon another try, it runs at about 60 degrees, the
fan turns on for a while, but not on maximum. This is not much different from
fglrx temperature, so I'm happy.

I believe I am having the same issue with Natty 11.04 (all updates)
running the NVidia proprietary driver.
I was getting a flash of the Ubuntu logo an instant before GDM, but
since doing

I think the more appropriate fix for this issue is to install the
package icc-profiles and assign the profiles in xsane under
Preferences Setup Color Profiles. For me, simply unchecking the
enable-color profile option yielded very incorrect colors.

I'm getting this bug, or something very similar. The display is
unstable, and sometimes it show the left edge of the image in the middle
of the screen. It can, at times, flash back and forth between the
displaced and normal images.
Grub still works.

Tip for
Parted under ubiquity does not allow you to select the mount point if
you select partition type EFI. So I used /dev/sda1 as EFI, which is
where the windows 7 loader had been in an NTFS partition. I did not
select that it should format, but it did format sda1, and now update-
grub does not detect
Hi Giuseppe, all the other documentation I find, including on Moin's
site, uses this. Is the test script for that action set with +x
permissions for the user you have running Moin?

Global appmenu breaks sloppy focus
This bug has terrorized my hearing for a while - I use headphones
through an external soundcard, and I've nearly deafened myself several
times forgetting to slightly adjust the volume before listening to
