It sounds like you have a clickpad trackpad. This is a known issue of
clickpad trackpads and X synaptics. The fix, as you noted, is to define
a bottom edge area. We probably want to do this for all clickpad

differs from the one I use on my network (dhcp-4.1.2-4.ESV.R2.fc13.i686
on Fedora 13). My DHCPv6 replies never contain any DNS information

Today, I've tried a lot of different live CDs and it seems that one
thing common to the distros that have the problem I've reported here is
that they use xorg version 1:7.5. v1:7.4 or older seem to work well. The
only exception to the rule so far is Debian 6 as mentioned in an earlier

In fact, when I restart X one time edge flipping may work well. Another
time I restart X it may not work at all (or only when moving a window).
