I installed the kernel (amd64) and I see the same error messages in

In a double monitor setup the Unity top panel in the second screen is

I'm getting this same message on 11.04 64-bit Desktop. My SATA hard
drives are performing slowly and making the whole system slow down much
more than they should when I do any hard-drive-intensive task, like

Unfortunately this is a driver bug in Nouveau, something which cannot be
fixed in time for Natty. I'd recommend Nouveau users to use Unity 2D
instead, or use the proprietary driver if possible.

Sorry you're having trouble, however for natty we're only providing
developer support for the 2D -nouveau functionality, not the mesa
experimental driver. Maybe in O. Meanwhile, please go to upstream mesa
with bug reports about the experimental driver.

I only just noticed this as being Fixed. I still run Maverick and this bug
happens very frequently for me. I have also seen reports that it still happens
on Natty.
I'll add more info when I upgrade and will try to find others with the same
problem.
