Same issue here, on 2 computers. Both running Ubuntu 11.04 64bit clean
install. The dead zones are scattered all over the screen. And when the
mouse pointer moves onto them, they stop responding to button presses or
wheel scroll. You can easily notice this when using tsclient, as moving
the cursor

but needed a newer version of w3m-emacs. Somehow with my different
failed tries to install these files I must have created a mix-up of
versions or something maybe...

Ubuntu 9.04 updated to newest packages.
Reopened the bug because it also applies to a samba issue. Samba
'testparm' complains:
rlimit_max: rlimit_max (1024) below minimum Windows limit (16384)
Adding the line:
* - nofile 16384
to limits.conf has no effect after reboot!
I don't know whether
Is there a time frame on the fix roll-out for this bug. It is a major
stumbling block for me on the road doing presentations.
