High importance seems to much. With a little bit of patience, it starts at
last.It isn't something that makes the system or even just thunar itself
unusable (that would be something like not starting at all). I'd say it is
of medium importance. And the XFCE bugzilla team is aware of this bug and
I have this problem on Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty). Closing and re-opening
sound-juicer after changing CD solves the problem.

My problem was the cd drive, so i used an external usb cd drive and Fedora 15
booted up correctly.
The error ata1:Softreset failed (device not ready) is still reported (I can
see it before Fedora loading screen) , and the internal cd drive is not
recognized.

protected files and chkdsk /r /f didn't help. But after removing almost
100 GB worth of unnecessary files it shrunk without problems. There were
quite a lot of files in System Volume Information so I'm guessing the

I'm pretty sure this isn't about the mouse not moving, or about Logitech
hardware specifically. I get a very similar problem but the symptoms
I've noted are a bit different. Luckily I can reproduce this case all
the time on my 11.04 box:

Actually it's another issue,
I have dual boot win7 and ubuntu, Lenovo laptop. I have to boot into win and
then turn on the wireless with the lenovo redycomm software. Then I reboot
into ubuntu and wireless works fine. So I guess it's actually a windows
problem :)

After update to from 10.10 to 11.04 after i press Ctrl+Shift (change language)
Shift is HOLD (hardware work normal, no holds and brake). After single press to
Shift its RELEASE.
I try delete ~/.kde and reinit KDE. Does not help.

Thanks Mad Max (post #6); worked for me. Frustrating part was the install CD

I dont' think it is. Bug 653477 is about Maverick, where the graphical
boot logo was working fine, once you found the proper guide on the net.
However on Natty this guide does not work anymore, as does any other
suggestion. Plus it seems to work at least kind of on Natty (i.e. I see
a logo at

Also happens with 11.04 installer.
1. Created an unetbootin USB key from the release xubuntu-11.04-desktop-
amd64.iso (md5 verified).
2. Booted the USB and selected Install Xubuntu in boot menu.
3. Chose to install the extra packages and download updates (wifi did
not catch-up, so I plugged
