I have tried removing single D, I also tried with my laptop having ubuntu
10.10 (2.6.35-28-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Fri Mar 18 18:42:20 UTC 2011 x86_64

The lack of ndbmtd is a huge issue. I spent a week trying to figure out
why our performance was so abysmal...
I have a patch (possibly incorrect?) that adds them into the appropriate
pkg-files - when rebuilt, they are present. It also fixes some of the
other issues we found along the way. Should
the issue was still present on imx51 when loading the parport module in
case parport_pc was enabled, and disabling PARPORT_PC fixes it.
