Just to add another option in the spirit of #39. I couldn't find a
simple solution and ended up solving this issue by removing rsyslog
entirely and now use syslog-ng which does everything I need (only issue
when installing was to chown a few logs to root.adm).

I have another suggestion for improvement of the service name handling:
Let us assure 15 instead of 6 characters for the server name. This gives
enough space for an IP address.

Pedro, FLASH. Now this is weird, but while testing a movie with Totem
Movie Player to respond to your question, I noticed that an update was
available, but I did not do it after trying to view a movie on Movie
Player, which did not display, as I had said. Up to then, my default
movie player was
