Btw, this makes me wonder why we did not keep the old i810 driver
around. Given that we have support for xserver-xorg-video-s3 with cards
like Trio64 it seems like keeping old drivers working is possible
without too much maintenance work (but I may be totally wrong here ;).
And the old i810 driver

The issue is reproducible. Fabien indicates that this may be the window
shadow actually being wrapped back on the workspace from which the user
clicks.
Though it takes further analysis, it sounds like a good bitesize bug
between compiz, with potentially an adjustment in the launcher state
machine

The reason all the settings items end in ellipses is that the primary
goal, changing the settings, requires further input after you select the
menu item. The Gnome HIG is internally inconsistent about this, which I
reported as a bug in 2005.
