I am seeing this happen only on USB speakers and it is not just banshee.
If the leave the laptop alone the sound is fine if I minimize a window I
can hear the annoying crackle and it happens consistently. Output from
the 3.5mm jack works just fine though.

Using Kubuntu 11.04 32bit, with KDE 4.6.2.
Tried both Dolphin and Konqueror, and in both copying, moving and moving
to trash is very slow, almost 2 minutes for a 1.1 Gb file, while the mv
command in konsole moves it almost right away.
