Yes, a workaround is to replace gtk-window-decorator with unity-window-
decorator.
You can do it simply by pressing ALT+F2 and typing gconf-editor, then
navigating into /apps/compiz-1/plugins/decor/screen0/options/ and
changing the command key to unity-window-decorator --replace.

Indeed, it seems brcmsmac will be the driver for the new macbook pro
wireless card BCM4331 from Broadcom. Sadly, the driver's not yet
available nor ready...
You can follow or add comments to these threads on usenet, broadcom is
answering from times to times.
Ah, I forgot to mention you can try and use windows drivers with
ndiswrapper. It works, but you'll have to blacklist ndiswrapper, or your
ubuntu won't boot anymore. And you might have keyboard / mouse issues
sometimes when it's loaded.
So, it's only an unstable geeky hack.

Look at bug 804397, about xdg-open not being present in Oneiric. If
trashcan opening behavior from Unity depends on xdg-open, this might
well be a duplicate of the other bug (i.e. what needs fixing is xdg-open
absence).

I still have not been able to get video without tearing with composite
enabled. Can someone who has this working post all of their details?
- compiz settings: unredirect fullscreen, force independant output painting,
refresh rate detection, workarounds, etc
- nouveau or nvidia driver? version?
I just got finished with a fresh install of 11.04 (a month later i know)
but it did not fix the problem.
