search doesn't find any files even though unity-place-files is running
To manage
With Lenovo Thinkpad W500 + Ubuntu 11.04 + kernel 2.6.38-10-generic-pae + Unity:
- Thinkpad mute button mutes sound, but no OSD. Pressing mute a second or more
times does not unmute.
- Thinkpad volume up down buttons work as expected and shows OSD.

I am suffering this bug on my 10.10 laptop. It just decided to not boot
anymore last night. According to TT, I downloaded the latest e2fsprogs
1.41.14 from sourceforge, built and installed it, but still get the
error:
% sudo fsck /dev/sda3

The mountall side was fixed with 2.28. Changelog:

Thanks for your report. Please check that you have the correct sound
device selected in the sound preferences. TO do so, click on the speaker
icon in the top right corner of your screen, and choose Sound
Preferences... from the drop down menu. Once in sound preferences, go
to the Output tab, and

Just happened to me in the a recent update to Natty through the Update
Manager. I had to boot via live CD and uninstall grub-pc and re-install
grub-efi-amd64.
