mouse pointer. After typing my password, mouse pointer changes as I
move it to different parts of the screen. Banshee keyboard shortcuts

system freeze when executing script via custom launcher
yes, it is a backup of the original mb 6,1 firmware stored on hdd in the
directory i mentioned above. the fact that this file has last changed on
5.18.2009 underlines that this is not a broken file/EFI firmware. You can find
the same file on the snow leopard installation disc.

Just updated to 11.10 online today from a fresh 11.04. Was unable to log
in - message Cannot update ICEAuthority was displayed.
I tried the purge suggestion (Marco, above) but this made no
difference.
Will try again in a couple of weeks
