Just to correct my previous statement: dconf-editor can see systray-
whitelist and it has 'Skype' listed. It's in desktop/unity/panel and of
course the schema is com.canonical.Unity.Panel. Nevertheless, neither
Natty nor Oneiric show the skype icon anymore in the systray.

I got this when I tried to to change the reveal mode setting in the
Unity plugin. I got it to happen each time I used that.
To be precise, I did:

* I like to have both the top left and bottom left corners as reveals for
launcher
* opened ccsm
* changed reveal to left and top-left
This seems to have been fixed with this morning's updates. Although I
