Stephen, this is still not a jockey bug. Your bug 819365 shows that you
have broken packages and thus fglrx cannot be installed. The current
jockey version provides a proper error message in the jockey log file,
but your report does not have that yet.
You can try
sudo apt-get install fglrx
and
The deja-dup.log file is empty. I've run it simply as "DEJA_DUP_DEBUG=1
deja-dup --backup" and it throws no output to the console. The
"Permission Denied" message appears, but no output in the console...
Fun...

When I just start a guest session and switch back with Ctrl+Alt+F7, my

Sure. Console log follows:
root@bowie:~# /usr/lib/packagekit/packagekitd --verbose
00:27:27PackageKit Verbose debugging enabled (on console 1)
/usr/lib/packagekit/packagekitd: symbol lookup error:

Confirmed. This should be the responsibility of the indicator - it
should lock the session before doing the switch so returning to the
session it should be in a locked state. There may be a bug in lightdm
and it's unlocking the session when it shouldn't, so I'll check that.
