I added the content of the file just now, but actually this is just

basically it says that you should delete the mimeapps.list file because
it wasn't deletad during the upgrade from 11.04 to 11.10, so now it
works
Ok, so I tried doing an aptitude safe-upgrade, I figured out what went
wrong, our firewall didn't like linux-firmware_1.60_all.deb, because it
couldn't scan it, it just returned an error (504 if I remember
correctly). I had to download it manually from home and add it to
/var/cache/apt/archives/.
Is xcfe settings supposed to have built in support for this? If so,
where?

Installed java sdk on Ubuntu 10.04, using aptitude as:
sudo aptitude install openjdk-6-jdk
Upgrade to 11.10 from Update manager UI
I did not run pending 11.04
This is a result of the fix for bug 784804. When a progress window was
the only Nautilus window open, clicking the Home Folder item did not
open the home folder, it focused the progress window, and there was no
easy way to open a new window. The solution implemented was to ignore
the progress
I've installed the latest mainline kernel from the URL below and
verified the bug still exists.

My workaround was to first install Ubuntu 11.04, install the proprietary driver
and then upgrade to 11.10.
This way 11.10 never needs to be booted without the working driver.

What I'm seeing is a vgchange process that hangs until udev kills it.
When it is killed it has only initialized a few LV's and most symlinks
in /dev/vgname are missing. Perhaps this is a different bug, but the

to the USB Burner. But I will try to manage it and will report about the
results. I willtest it on an installed version of oneiric.
