Just for the record, I just repeated the installation again and this
time it worked. The only difference is that on the first time I
selected 'Try Ubuntu' then I started the harddisk installation while on
the second I chose to install on the harddisk right from the beginning.

Ubuntu 11.10 and the installed Pulseaudio 1.1 from the source with
./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc
make -j2
sudo make install
Then remove files from ~/.pulse/, as I make it last time, but it

works in part, the screen will also dim on lightdm before anyone h
Since the original error message was written in *Russian*, I think it's
unlikely that you have this exact error. Please file a bug report that
includes the error message you're seeing.

Can anybody test in oneiric if the bug is still alive? I think the patch
for this bug should be in the oneiric version.

I installed the binutils from proposed and build the StockFish chess program
(which failed to build initially) with -flto and also
combined with the PGO build option.
No problems, the new binutils works just fine!

According to Takeshi Iwai, fix will be merged with mainline near 3.2-rc.
W90 owners may compile kernel from here git://github.com/tiwai/sound.git
"options snd-hda-intel model=auto" also required.

Tried the TwinView workaround and lightdm won't even load. Tried
manually setting the refresh rate in ccsm and there is no appreciable
change. Turning off bailer also does nothing. Seems to be some sort of
leak because at startup or compiz restart everything works smoothly. 2
minutes later and the
