I'm having the same issue with Oneiric in a Thinkpad x61. It usually
shuts down when I'm watching movies. I did the workaround mentioned in
the description (set fan level to disengaged) and could watch the whole
movie with no shutdown. Fan level without level disengaged was ~4000 rpm
and with
Uploaded CUPS package with the new fix for this bug and bug 887094 to
-proposed. As soon as the package is approved for testing we will post
another comment with further instructions. Please test then and tell us
whether the update fixes your problem, too. A debdiff of the changes is

this happens when the Launcher is given keyboard focus, say when you press
Alt+F1. However clicking away should cause the focus to go away, and normal
operation to resume.
If you hit Alt+F1 and click on another app, does the Launcher hide? You
are not using focus follows mouse are you?

I am able to duplicate this issue, with Ubuntu 11.04 and 11.10, it is

Actually, to be precise: olap4j builds against Oracle's JDK 1.7.0_1 as
of revision 481. We have not tested against openjdk-7. I will update
this bug when I've tested.

Yes, after Alt+F1 it gets back to normal. Thanks, now I don't have to
