disconnected the HD of the Windows 7 which seemed to be affecting the
startup and update of the Ubuntu HD (I do not have now dual boot and use
Ubuntu exclusively), than I corrected

user, running fvwm as my wm, and I have the same problem. This is
specific to GTK apps with multiple interactable fields (evince and

bindfs has been showing up as not upgradeable ever since the upgrade
to oneiric, but i was just ignoring it. Today I uninstalled the natty
version (1.8 something) and tried to re-install the version in the
repos...no luck.

I've disabled the feature Disable touchpad while typing for some weeks
and this bug did not occur. Today was the first time I got it since I
changed back. Just now I restarted the machine and on startup I had the
bug. There are 2 syndaemon running:

I tested the original crash reproduction recipe on both the current
Python 2.7 and 3.3 mercurial branches. No kernel panic in either case.
I suppose it's possible that something else changed in Python or 11.10
to avoid the crash, but I doubt it for Python 2.7. So I think the
