rhythmbox randomly crashes at the end of some
Just got this crash yet again, but this time all I had to do was open
the Software Center, look up Midori to see more information on its
ratings, then closed it a couple minutes later; no attempts to
install/remove anything were made. Soon after this crash popped up. It
seems the USC now crashes
I'm pretty sure it's done on purpose, the correct way to ensure Network Manager
won't mess with your network in this case is to make sure it's not running for
that interface.
Sometimes selecting Disconnect in the menu is enough, some others you'll need

I had this problem today. For me, Dolphin was also taking 100% CPU. I
killed the 3 processes, and the problem is gone (without having to log
out and back in).

Kernel 3.0 (11.10 default kernel) won't boot unless acpi=off, worked
fine with the default
syndaemon runs on its own, once it's started it does not need to be
controlled from outside. So it would work if g-s-d used pidof instead of
manager-priv-syndaemon_spawned, then it can also grab the pid to know
what to kill if the user changes the setting.

I just discovered that for me Emphaty is causing at least part of the
problem.
After startup I see Compiz at around 1-2% cpu while doing nothing.
And then I start Emphaty and now Compiz consumes around 15-16% of cpu.
I then disabled the People nearby which did not seem to ever connect and
voilà,
BTW, pmount seems to have no way for passing additional options such as
to turn compression on in btrfs.

I've noticed this problem as well. It looks to me like the OTR plugin

Ok, it seems I misunderstood the gnome-keyring-daemon startup procedure.
Apparently --daemonize --login spawns kind of an empty shell for the
functionality (accepting the password through PAM) but does not actually
initialize any functionality. For that additional calls the gnome-
keyring-daemon

Note that, when this happens, I can see with 'evtest' the click events,
but they'll produce no effect. Restarting the X server solves the
problem.
