I was looking into this... liblightdm-gobject has its own support for
listing and setting the keyboard layout. When you set the layout via
that API, it goes and twiddles with xklavier.
So... We could go the normal route:
* Enable the keyboard plugin of gnome-settings-daemon
* Enable the indica
OK, I got it going with a work-around. I went with the mod-64 idea on
the resolution, along with the remark about setting the maximum for my
card, which I believe is a vertical resolution of 1080. So I used a
setting for Virtual of 3008 1080. Now I no longer get the "width too
large" message, and x

So it's trivial enough to run orca in a hardcoded capacity. However...
keyboard navigation immediately breaks because we aren't running a WM in
unity-greeter. Especially once you open the orca preferences and they
don't get keyboardfocus. And blind users obviously need keyboard
navigation.

I think my comment won't fall into "metoo" category.
It seems it fixed the problem for me somewhat but only for kernel
3.0.0-14-generic. When I tried to switch to 3.1.4 or 3.2.*rc* I got laggy
(heavy, not stuttering as before) windows while dragging. I said 'somewhat'
because I'm not even sure
OK, I ran the test case with both 0.12.8 and 0.12.9 and in both cases on
a system with no Bluetooth, the tests are marked as failed, meaning that
checkbox is trying to run them even if no bluetooth hardware is present.

@Clint: it's back. On Natty 11.04 I am getting unclean inodes again. I notice
a single inode in dmesg after every boot:

Under Ubuntu my sound is fine until I do a suspend, when it comes back
it's bad. Interestingly and Apropos another post re under Gnome Shell I
have discovered that running Gnome on SuSe 11.4 sound appears to be fine
both before and aft

Attempted to reproduce this on Ubuntu Precise. Can confirm the issues
outlined in the description no longer occur; behavior seems fairly solid
now. I routinely run an above/below monitor arrangement and can
definitely recall the many problems when centering the small monitor
under the larger one,
