I can confirm that the new kexec-tool package does work correctly on
Lucid, though this specific problem with dynamic makedumpfile did not
apply to Lucid.

I have tested the new kexec-tool in lucid-proposed and it does work
properly.
kexec-tools is now performing as expected on all supported distros (from
Lucid onward). Let's hope that it makes it to -updates soon.

new kernel 3.2.0-18-29 (x86_64). On this machine, I had not installed

Ok, I think I confirmed this to be only in the Ubuntu version. Marc, I
believe you have been working on this. Maybe we could get the change
reviewed and loosely queued (without upload) to be picked up whenever
something serious (or the next release) come up?
