Yeah, I figured it was probably possible to view pending operations
before starting. I just wish it had stuck it in my face and asked me to
confirm. It was just a really unfortunate set of circumstances for
attempting a partition move for the first time.

This bug will never get fixed because it is no longer reproduceable and
there isn't enough information for a developer to fix, so I am closing

I have the same problem, a loud sound on a regular interval, though I'd
call it more like a whistling sound. The only workaround for me is to
use mplayer or VLC and set their output directly to ALSA HDMI, instead
of pulse. Bypassing pulse seems to fix the problem, but I can't do it
for Chrome so I

I'd like to report that I also have this issue. Running Ubuntu 11.10 x86
with Gnome 3 on an nVidia 9600M GT, when I use the "Share Full Screen"
option in Skype all GUI's disappear from my screen. The only way for me
to recover is to either track down the exact location of the "Stop
Screen Sharing"
even creating /etc/apt/apt.conf file doesn't solve the problem.

Running Ubuntu Precise 64 bit with Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 and FX 8150
for a video editing rig. Two WD Caviar Greens, had to use mdadm to get a
RAID 0 working (yes, it's backed up!), but left dmraid installed until
now.
An update to dmraid_1.0.0.rc16-4.1ubuntu7_amd64.deb cause
The version of this package in Ubuntu has been updated and may have
fixed this bug. Can you still reproduce the issue?

Please refer also to bug report #958321. The system crashed in "Installation"
step. This time I did not have to reboot the kubuntu off Live CD. Hence
debug-info and logs have been collected from the "crashed-state". Please
connect the two bug-reports # 958294 and 958321.
