An improvement from Oneiric is that the HDMI output should not be listed
if HDMI audio output does not currently work, so it is only a regression
if HDMI audio output in fact works, but it is not listed.
Could you verify that you have activated your secondary monitor and that

problem trying to fix a package manager issue. Libc6 and it's
compatriots --- absolutely will not let me update the libc6 file and
I've tried every known trick to force it. So now they are broken with no
way to fix. Hence I am p

I see this too.
I have a setup where my ubuntu server shares its ,mobile connection(via usb
modem) to other computers.
The pattern I see is that it get disconnected every single night and I have to
reinsert the modem and type in
the pin again to make it work.

OK, I can finally reproduce the focus problem (sometimes). And I've
debugged it enough to confirm it is caused by the fix for bug 806255. I
will try to make a fix for this today that doesn't involve reverting the
fix for bug 806255.
