I rolled back all the installed apport packages from ubuntu7 to ubuntu5,
rebooted, and no fix. Also completely removed apport, rebooted, and
reinstalled, and no fix.

I'm talking about the "recovery mode" accessible by grub.

If a node failed to commission, and I wish simply to remove it from maas
completely, there is no way to do that from the UI, since the remove
node button is greyed out at that stage. I believe that the failed

This has worked before but has broken. Using the same Lucid as when it worked.
Now it crashes in both Opera and Firefox using the same nsdejavu.so plugin.
Duplicate bug #800114, where the reporting users gave up, bug timed out on
inactivity. 3 users affected there. Most affected people are Swedi
I too am seeing this bug. I noticed that I had the Ubuntu One
application open when it was going crazy. I closed that app and killed
the process(not sure if I really needed to do that) and the symptoms

I have created a senario similar to what Olivier reported above, and yes
indeed I also am seeing reported load averages that are very much too
high (Oh, darn).

That's not really a fix, is it? It's more of a workaround. I can't
imagine the behavior change was intentional. I think it would make
sense to keep this bug open.

Yeah, the Permission denied error isn't relevant to that bug, what's is
the Illegal Instruction error, though you can't see it as it doesn't
show up in any of the logs (yeah, that's a bit annoying :)).
If you try running "sudo /usr/lib/ubiquity/bin/ubiquity" from a live
session, I think you'll see

At this point with driver 295.49 i experience the same issue in where i
get kicked out of my gnome session. This time the machine did not
freeze, but I am back with the same bug of logging me off.
I guess my next attempt is to role back to either 10.10 or maybe just
try a different distr
