After install of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, I added a new user account (took me
ages to find out how, as Users and Groups" is no longer in the system
administration area (whihc is probably a bug too).
Having found that the + sign adds an account (it looked like a scrolling
tool to me)
I can confirm this too on a clean install of 12.04 64-bit. My music collection
is a mix of ogg (about 40%) and mp3 (the rest) and I see this message in syslog
at the time the music stops:

I don't mean to scare you but the last time I saw such a crazy display
it was because my laptop cooling had failed. Is there any chance at all
that something of this nature has happened with you (coinciding with the
upgrade)? On a different occasion on a different system there was bug
with a viafb

1. it is reproducable over several machines
2. After restarting server and client it works fine for some days, then appears
