I can confirm this bug still happens on ubuntu 12.04 final release.
A way to reproduce is hard to detail, but generally while switching
windows and a finger on the touchxpad, causes it to work in scroll mode
only. So basicall with the move of a finger up or down the scroll is

ok... after running the mainline kernel all weekend long I never once
ran into an issue with either psmouse and the touchpad or the atkbd
driver and the keyboard as I've seen frequently with the ubuntu kernels.
The mainline kernel seemed to be rather stable as far as this bug goes.

Wubi is something else entirely. That is for installing Ubuntu inside a
file in windows. Startup disk creator is the Ubuntu official tool for
creating usb startup disks. You can find the startup disk creator on
the menu of any ubuntu desktop install. You might also try unetbootin.

gradle version
For me, the last pinned icon in the launcher (I have 10) very often
stays the last, when another new (not pinned) application is opened. So
VLC is my 10th program in the launcher (super + 0). This happens on my
PC and on my laptop and also on the PC of my mother (she does not have
10 icons, but
for the moment these things doesn't work:
-gdm integration: I intend to use this for normal users who will use ubuntu as
desktop machines so this is a must
-the first time I tried to use a domain user I receive an error when trying to
change the password, in /var/log/auth.log:

It seems most likely that there was an update that broke some things for
you. The solution is to run arbtt-recover, then take the capture.log and
rename it to something else (that is, back it up instead of deleting
it), then rename capture.log.recovered to capture.log.

for a long time that make Unity feel like beta software. It's also one
of the reasons why I stopped using it and have started using GNOME Shell
instead. And because I don't use the default Desktop Environment, i.e.
