I think that full version number is important and we will gain no extra
security by hiding it by default, just more pain when debugging. You
always have an option to disable the headers yourself, if you think it
will gain you any extra security.

Security by obscurity doesn't actually work. Hiding the version number
will not affect whether your system is secure or not, and it's quite
likely that an attacker would simply run his script regardless of the
version number displayed on your website.

I am a little confused on why this bug report is present. I'm wondering
whether you were using any special HW configuration or any special OS
configuration as I have been unable to reproduce this bug report,

and add 'x' to the first line:

This looks like an upgrade from a third party PPA
(2012.1~e4~20120210.12585-0ubuntu0ppa1~lucid1) used on 10.04. Nova
didn't officially exist in Ubuntu until 11.10. Marking Invalid as this

I reported bug #988963 which was marked as duplicate of this one.
Actually, the test case reported here does not generate said error as of Php
5.3.0, that's why I opened a new report rather than continuing with this one.
But, the root of this issue reported upstream at #18556 is still

I still have this problem on my Ubuntu 10.04.4 servers. Did I miss the
