still experimental but this is a silly reason for it to break.
FWIW I've nominated the fix for #988509 for backporting to precise. It
Wireshark does nothing odd with it's desktop file or windows, so this is
almost certainly a bamf bug (the app that handles the sidebar tiles)
rather than a Wireshark bug. Reassigning.

It was a bit unclear for me so I made extreemely short compare of processes
that are same in both files. The bug we're in so strange that i'm starting to
doubt it's lightdm issue. But highly suspected. It was one of these.
First collumn is Dennis, second mine. Notice, how lightdm was not present
I ran update-rc.d ondemand disable which renamed all links to ondemand
to K01ondemand so that they should not be run during system
initialization. However, the system is still coming up with the CPU
governor set to ondemand. I can add cpufreq-set to my rc.local, but it
would be nice to know why

With this new version I have no tearing on 1366x768, 1024x768, 800x600
fullscreen. But, of course, still have in windowed mode. I have rc6 enabled,
and there is tearing on top of the screen. With rc6=0 I have only one top pixel

Just updated to cups-filters 1.0.18 (proposed) and it prints fine now!

I still have this problem. It was gone for a while after I chose the stable
ppa, but I guess the bugs have made it into stable.
Any ideas?
PS @Taylor: Mint has a (common) Ubuntu version and a Debian version
