I have tried to reproduce, but on my Quantal installation the tex common
3.13 installation works properly. The cause may be that I have a 64bit
installation here.
Can you try it again direct with apt on terminal (and not with software-
center or synaptics), like

Ok, I found the problem: HUD only works if you make use of the global
menu.
As I did not like the global menu on my 24 inch screen, I removed the
package. That also leaves HUD inoperable as the commands for HUD are

Here's why this is broken: logging out != shutting down. Why does the
sync block logout instead of continuing in the background, and just
blocking any attempts to *actually* shut down? The way it currently is
makes it impractical to use U1 to sync my users' config, because they're

Actually, this _is_ a driver problem. It went away at some point in the
11.10 cycle but is back again with a vengeance in the 12.04 cycle. To
those who dismiss this as a problem with the hardware, it really isn't.
Something is being set within the graphics card that is causing this.

I did another try this morning. Ubuntu 12.04 server. Printer Canon
IP4200.
I tried "Print test page" from a desktop Ubuntu 12.04 connected to that
printer as "Remote printer". The printer woke up, but did not start
printing and cups reports "Printing page 1, 20%".

Hrm, ok. As long as it’s indeed kept in sync by someone… I’d have
preferred the pseudo-package way to have a zero delta, but that’s your
decision.

I spent a long time yesterday working on file 1989-07.html on machine
one (as called above), and it synced OK.

The port doesn't respect panel transparency which is an annoying
papercut for those of us using gnome-fallback. The version ported by
jconti DID manage to respect panel transparency.

Back then in Ubu 10.10 it did happen. Right now, i have moved to xubuntu
12.04 and my bluefish version is 2.2.2, and after same basic testing it
does not do it.

Same problem here. I do have IPv6 enabled in the network.
My workaround is running this command:
sudo service network-manager restart
Unfortunately, it temporarily brings down the network interfaces, so not
a great thing to do when I'm in the middle of a VoIP call.

Gthumb gives the following error:
