Ok, I can reliable reproduce this issue.
The attached empty file printed 60 times the first time I tried to print it.
The second time it resulted in 160 copies beeing printed.
I will not have access to my printer for the next week.

This is definitely related to Xorg. I have crashes left and right,
regardless whether I am using nvidia-current or nouveau. Nouveau crashes
less, but its always a sefault in Xorg it seems.
The most stable workaround for me is to run Classic Gnome, and even
there, certain apps trigger a crash

I can confirm this bug in both Fedora 17 i686 and Ubuntu running Gnome
desktop...also agree that this makes me want to go back to Unity as I
spend 90% of computer time on documents.
Just wish Unity had that 'flip up into corner - show all windows on
workspace' thing. I know there's a keyboard
