that the removal of 90-synthetic.conf's symlink from /etc/fonts/conf.d/
has an irritating side effect when using gedit (or pluma) - unsaved

I just thought I'd point out that this problem occurs in 10.04.4 as
well.
What happens is not that the other interfaces don't come up, but that
they're taking an extended period of time to come up (sometimes as much
as 5 or 6 minutes for the :0 and :1 interfaces to come up.)

I have a Dictator DVD which I tried to copy to avoid drive's noise while
watching. OgmRip crashes when trying to access this DVD. I have it as a
default handler for DVDs and when it's launched by system with drive as
