made it a bit better, consumes 22W/13W depending on if the i915 is stuck

normal resolution, to 800x600 or 640x480, and the speed increases rather alot.
I think synaptics might be scaling speed with 'real' pixels, instead of
'logical' pixels.
Granted, it doesn't seem to happen in gnome 3, i
virt-manager is a python-gnome app. This would be similar to me
complaining about VirtualBox requiring Qt libraries. Anyone is free to
write an alternative UI to virt-manager in Qt but that's a fairly big
undertaking.

Unity Desktop disabled after installing fglrx-updates

another HDD.
Whenever I launch one of the VM's, it keeps running for some time, then
the VM window hangs (it gets greyed out), the VM manager window hangs
too, and I have to manually kill the VM process.
