With the latest version of xserver-xorg-video-intel
(2:2.20.19-0ubuntu2), bottom dock of Cairo-Dock is now fully
transparent. I don't have this bug if I downgrade to the previous
version (2:2.20.19-0ubuntu1).
It seems that this new version only includes a patch from
Error message also present in Precise.
P.S. noticed the message only when attempting to find out whether bad
page offlining support exists for Ivy Bridge; inconclusive on that so
far.

I don't know if you even used PackageKit here, but PK gives as much problems as
aptdaemon, if it is performing background tasks and you want to run another
tool which is not aware of that.
Besides that, problems is not very helpful ;-) Maybe file bugs if you have a
specific issue.

The current package 3.5.2-2ubuntu1 in Xubuntu 12.04 is affected by the

kill gvfsd-smb before.
Other thing: I install gnumeric and it works with my network files, so this bug

I got this traceback when doing the following:
I had a virtualenv in /some/path/env
I moved it to /some/path/subdir/env
Then ran virtualenv /some/path/subdir/env to overwrite the existing
virtualenv and fix up paths etc., but got the crash in fix_local_sheme

ifupdown does the right thing here. When you ask it to tear down the
network, it'll do so and only keep the loopback device, it'll then emit
deconfiguring-networking.
Some jobs stop on deconfiguring-networking like dbus, which is a core
dependency of the rest of the desktop which unsurprisingly
