going forward. My concern is that it hasn't been backported to Precise
Pangolian (12.04 LTS). LTS versions of Ubuntu are the ones used in

unity then it subtly breaks compiz so that opengl doesn't work properly
and all operations and slow - further you will only notice this once you
reboot your machine after setting up slim because plymouth has already
been killed

I just upgraded to 12.10, but after doing so, no audio comes from my
speakers.
1) My speakers are on and properly connected.
2) other sources (such as my speaker's auxiliary plugs) show that the speakers
do in fact work.
4) PulseAudio shows in playback that ALSA is producing

When running "service networking restart", the window manager dies, with
windows losing their titlebar, and the desktop becoming unresponsive. I
can reproduce this every time.
