Whoo... Nothing understandable for me ))) I have asus n56vz, all I have done
leads me to the subwoofer playing rear right only. No lo-pass filters - so it`s
not usable...

That would imply you reboot before inspecting the error state (or even
less likely wrote to the i915_error_state in order to clear it). That
error message indicates something is wrong with rc6 - the GPU never
wakes up.

Gnome 3.6 is the worst gnome ever, and recursive search removal played a

Same as randallw (rwayth): Skype and Google hangout video stopped
working with all kernels after 3.5.0-23 (both 24 and 25) on a Thinkpad
x131e running 64 bit. Also webcam in guvcview works really poorly.
All works fine when booting back to 3.5.0-23.

Thank you for your warning. I had also tried your fix, but Unity got completely
screwed up - same as described by the two other people that reported this
issue. I tried to play a little bit at recovering the situation - but to no
avail. Even trying to reinstall the packages involved

i965_dri.so, or has this become irrelevant?

I found out that I done a mistake of setting the second string 'sources' key to
the literal string 'xkb_layout' instead of the layout codename.
So, I changed the setting as follows:
$ gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.input-sources sources
[('xkb', 'us'), ('xkb', 'ara')]
