As I have already mentioned It did not happened again after reboot - means that
errors appeared just within one booting up process, for a lot of software.
I did not find this error from that time for any following booting up process,
yet.

I found the why the problem with r8169 happened. r8169 was blacklisted
by unsuccessful build of r8168-dkms. I purged that package long ago, but
still there was a file in /etc/modprobe.d. Strangely with other kernel
r8169 loaded OK.
But still kernel crashes 1 of 5 boots approx. It is better than in

Still get that issue on RR i386 (kernel 3.8.0.19) and seems affecting an
other trouble: usb mouse (logitech) badly acting with "click", grab &

I ran guvcview in today's daily build of Lubuntu desktop i386 iso file
(similar to when Xorg crashed) in the same laptop. I could reproduce to
bug, that the jpeg file is bad, while the png file is good. I tried a
lot of changes in the 'guvcviewer controls window', but could not
reproduce to crash i

What I find puzzling is that according to #71 the source code in git
(qca/alx) is identical to the one included in the Ubuntu kernel but the
former works and the latter doesn't.
Anyway, I hope i can test your kernel at some point during this wee
I use the PPA and I have updated and upgraded the system before adding
the PPA (but maybe my mirror was not up-to-date). Given your
confirmation that it works, I will search for the error on my side.

I didn't reproduce the bug on Quantal kernel after revert commit
5828c06cd37b5d4191889b6d7d2033c061d3384d.
since fglrx driver in Quantal won't be able to work with Raring kernel, I will
install Raring beta2 on E525 to do further check.

I notice that the importance if the original report was been changed
from "High" to "Wishlist" after triage.
Just to reiterate, the ability to mirror the display across two monitors
using a resolution equal to that of the lower resolution of the two
