No possibility to resume when using nouveau driver. Works when using
nvidia binary proprietary drivers.
My opinion is that medium importance is too low. Not being able to use a
laptop with suspend/resume is not being able to use it at all IMHO.

"ALSA plug-in". Are you using the installer in flashplugin-installer?

What do you mean by "So that is in fact by design." ?
If you mean that the locale and default keyboard layout are selected
accordingly to the Time Zone, then that is not true. It does not happen.

I can understand your frustration and I wonder, why the Unity SRU takes
so long this time.
The AskUbuntu answer points to [1]. There you find unity
7.0.0daily13.05.31~13.04-0ubuntu1, which should contain the fix (the
version number suggest it).

It's a known bug in update-grub - Windows EFI boot entries are not
generated correctly.

I also have noted this bug many times over the years. However, it is
more severe for me in the server versions were we require utf8 (and only
need one language). In a server/client configuration this can really
mess things up (it does create severe charset bugs).

Chrome uses its own built-in Flash plugin, so it is not a good comparison in
this case.
I'd suggest trying the Midori browser (I can't remember, but you may have to
manually enable Netscape plugins):
