available. When I launched update-manager, the Software Updater window
said "388kB will be downloaded", but the "Details of updates" list was
empty.

debootstrap will carry on without it and claim to have succeeded. This
is something I fixed in Debian 1.0.39 along with the change Louis
backported here - although not in the same commit, which may be why he

Me again. vnc4server doesn't have this issue. for now, my 'fix' is to
uninstall tightvncserver and use vnc4server instead.
