It's not the VM (aka guest) that has the dual overlapping display, but
rather the host machine. If the host's displays are overlapping or not
a perfect 1:1 mirror, the error is returned when trying to view a
guest's display using spicec. I'll see about trying to replicate this
with a saucy live

Tried to compile the driver (as per comment #25) under 3.10.9 kernel.
Results are as per comment #37, since the driver source uses
create_proc_entry(), that was deprecated in favor of proc_create()

This is on linux-image-generic-lts-raring (which I recently upgraded to

I see this junk in my dmesg when creating / formatting a zram swap, and
then periodically. Then at some point after heavy swapping incidents,

flexiserver allows other users to log in. Typically locking the screen
