In saucy, it appears that vmxnet and vmblock are not needed (nor is
vmci). The vmxnet3 is distributed with the kernel, and in fact if you
use the installer from the latest vmware-tools ISO, it does not build

As I use Onboard as stabdard way to do text input in tablet (=touch-
screen-only) mode the onscreen keyboard is not an accessibility feature
but a facility for all users. This means that it should not require any
special accessibility settings.

that's correct, the package does not need to ship a .pot file, it just
needs to have the rule to build it (is it dh_translations?). Then I think
it's pkgbinarymangler that then creates the translations tarball, which is
ultimately imported into Launchpad.
