So, the bug that caused this issue is going to be considered a bug
against rhythmbox, but this issue is an issue with apport, and one that
I've actually seen a number of times before. Apport, when given a
rhythmbox issue, tends to (especially with segfaults) mark it as a

I tried the latest development release (as of 27-9-2013), but it won't
boot at all on my Optimus laptop, even with no external monitors

I recommend that users with optimus use hybrid graphics as supported by
12.04.3 (which Jockey automatically enables) or in 13.10. This involves
offloading all rendering to the NVIDIA card.

where the shell environment variable is incorrectly named as
"GRUB_CRYPTODISK_ENABLE" when it should be "GRUB_ENABLE_CRYPTODISK".

Not sure this is the same thing as for me. I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X1

Workaround:
Edit /etc/systemd/logind.conf and set HandleLidSwitch=lock to lock the screen
on lid close (but not suspend), or Handle
The issue appears to be stemming from ext4_fiemap()... Attached trace.
