Unity dash searches forever, no search results
With bug #966480 you're just not told what to do but if you remove the
installation and press Enter on the keyboard all is well, but with no
message telling a noob what to do they may still do a hard reset.
With this bug no reboot method worked except hitting the reset button on
my box.

I can't figure how it was kartograph, but at some point or another, some
python-based installer has grabbed their own copy obviously. I suppose I
can just remove it and it will fall back to the original. Worth a go,
anyway. No idea what process installed it. Thanks for the debugging
help.

cursor after returning from standby. I could still click the mouse and
bring up a right-click dropdown menu; however, I could not move the

the website is often not shown inside the tab.

Ibus does not show in the system tray and by searching Ibus in the Ubuntu dash,
nothing is found.
It is just possible to open the Ibus settings by executing "ibus-setup".

Reviewing the files from your upgrade attempt you seem to have enabled
the xorg-edgers-ppa. This will prevent the upgrade as that PPA contains
different versions of packages essential to Ubuntu. The page,

After purging all ruby, rails, rake and apache2 mod passenger installs,
all from ubuntu repositories, then purging redmine and ensuring the
database and its user are deleted, plus a reboot, I went on a new
install.
I got the exact same error, which demonstrates that the 'redmine'
package indeed br

I found a workaround : if I start smartgit like this, it won't crash :
