As could be seen - yes - with little effort I'm able to capture broken
characters with given patch compiled in.
The only needed thing is to start to edit the dialog in the Firefox and
start to add/remove random characters over
The bug occurs with MAX_FLUSH_VERTICES = 2 too, both in firefox and
xterm, so unfortunately setting it to 1 seems to be the only solution
here.

I was able to reproduce the problem by going to the .viminfo file and
deliberately removing '>' from one of the cmds listed after
the line "# History of marks within files (newest to oldest):" in .viminfo
Adding it back... the issue is not seen.

After getting the second monitor working properly with xrandr faffing,
the settings do not stick after a reboot, unfortunately.
How can I get it to work correctly by default, every time?

Terabyte, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release

The problem is still present in LibreOffice 4.1.4.2 from Debian Wheezy
Backports. So do we have to wait for 4.2 to get the fix?

Also, as stated earlier in the list - I can do a CTRL-ALT-F2 and sign in as the
user and kill the processes which in turn unlocks the UI.

Playing with xrandr some more, I have gotten "xrandr --output HDMI1
--crtc 0 --output HDMI3 --crtc 2 --right-of HDMI1" to work. I can use
both screens at full resolution, with this command. I don't know if it
will stick after a reboot, but I will comment here as soon as I do
reboot.
